Many homeowner's have come to us lately and requested names of contractors for the improvements they are planning to do on their homes. MCIA is aware of some contractors working in the area, but we currently do not maintain a list of them that we can make available.
The Meyerland Community Improvement Association is not affiliated with, nor does it recommend or endorse ANY contractor.
When selecting a contractor for any type of work, please take steps to properly check them out. We recommend that you:
- Ask for and verify references.
- Check with the Better Business Bureau for any unresolved complaints and a record of the company.
- Get competitive bids!
Remember that it is your responsibility, not your contractor, to submit and obtain approvals from the Architectural Control Committee and the proper construction permits from the City of Houston. They may be willing to provide this service to you, but please follow up to make sure it is done before you begin work. |
